I love cartoons! I left a job designing billboards to draw caricatures at Six Flags over Texas. I worked open to close (May to Nov) that year, some days drawing over 100 caricatures a day @ the going price of $2.00 each of which I got 60 cents. After Six Flags closed I traveled with a pastel portrait artist in a double decker English bus around Texas that fall doing caricatures at County fairs. I met my wife Karen in Abilene at the county fair. We went to Busch Gardens in Tampa FL and did cartoons through the winter. The caricature business gave way to the billboard and sign industry after our daughter Bini Lin was born. I have had several cartoon illustration projects and enjoyed them all. Cartoons still influence my paintings from 'Rawhide Kid' (I actually own and used to (and still do), read these old western comics)... to my Sunday funnies series.
